Sarto has been in the bike business since 1959, building frames for other people and their own brand exported to the US.
In the 1990's, people like Maurizio Fondriest used Sarto to make their high end frames for their professional riders. That decade also saw the evolution from steel through aluminium to carbon fibre. Whilst other well-known companies outsourced the frame building to the Far East, Sarto’s success has been in offering clients what Asian manufacturers do not and cannot provide. They build frames for many top brands and modify frames for many top teams and now sell frames under their own name.
