Movistar rider Alex Dowsett and Velon CEO Graham Bartlett are the final guests confirmed for the theatre and they complete our line up for the inaugural Rouleur Classic - taking
place at the end of this week at Vinopolis, London.
We have some amazing guests confirmed (click here to see the full timetable of guests appearing in the Rouleur Classic Theatre) and both Alex and Graham are set to offer amazing insights into their own world’s.
Alex’s formative years were spent racing on the British time trial scene, an experience that has stood him in good stead for life in the pro ranks. His ability against the clock brought him a stage win in the 2013 Giro d’Italia and allowed him to challenge for shorter stage races. In 2014 he won a time trial gold medal at the Commonwealth Games, and he subsequently announced that he would take on the UCI Hour Record, which after a training setback that saw him fracture his collarbone, he went on to set a new Hour Record in May 2015. The record was subsequently beaten by fellow Briton, Bradley Wiggins at London’s Lee Valley Velodrome in June.
Using his Hour form, Alex went on to take his first stage race victory at the 2015 Bayern-Rundfahrt in Germany after winning the race’s time trial stage. Following this Dowsett was selected by his Movistar team for the 2015 Tour de France, where he played a key role in supporting team leader Nairo Quintana, particularly during the team time trial stage. However, a crash injury forced Dowsett to withdraw from his debut Tour when it hit the Pyrenees.
Don’t miss Alex’s thoughts on his debut season with Movistar as he chats with our host Matt Stephens at the Rouleur Classic on Saturday.
Alex will be appearing in association with Campagnolo & Endura.
